Store in iCloud
Click the Store in iCloud button, then choose from these options:
*Desktop and Documents. Store all files from these two locations in iCloud Drive. When storage space is needed, only the files you recently opened are kept on your Mac, so that you can easily work offline. Files stored only in iCloud show a download icon , which you can double-click to download the original file. Learn more about this feature.

*Photos. Store all original, full-resolution photos and videos in iCloud Photos. When storage space is needed, only space-saving (optimized) versions of photos are kept on your Mac. To download the original photo or video, just open it.

*Messages. Store all messages and attachments in iCloud. When storage space is needed, only the messages and attachments you recently opened are kept on your Mac. Learn more about Messages in iCloud.
Storing files in iCloud uses the storage space in your iCloud storage plan. If you reach or exceed your iCloud storage limit, you can either buy more iCloud storage or make more iCloud storage available. iCloud storage starts at 50GB for $0.99 (USD) a month, and you can purchase additional storage directly from your Apple device. Lode Runner: The Legend Returns is the sequel/remake of the original Lode Runner created by Douglas E Smith. Lode Runner: The Legend Returns keeps very true to the gameplay of the original, but it enhances just about every aspect of it. Graphics, sound, music, as well as character animations. There is also the addition of a two-player mode.
The game plays as a single screen platformer where your goal is to climb up ladders and clear the levels of treasures in order to progress. Of course as you go the levels become harder and enemies begin to come after you. You do have a limited arsenal that includes bombs and booby traps. You also have the use of a drill, jackhammer, snare traps, and other goodies at your disposal. The levels are each set in different areas like Moss Caverns, Skeleton’s Keep, Inferno’s Playground, and many more. A level editor is available, like in the original game.

Runner2 is divided into five themed worlds, each with fourteen regular levels and five bonus stages for a grand total of ninety-five. The goal of each level is to guide the chosen character to the end of the level without striking an obstacle or falling off the screen. The character runs automatically, and in order to arrive safely at the finish, the player must perform various simple actions such as jumping, sliding and kicking, as well as more complex moves including hanging from rails, deflecting projectiles with a shield, and slide-kicking.[3] Most obstacles require the player to perform one specific action to survive—jumping over ground-based enemies, sliding under hovering enemies or fireballs (which fly at head height), kicking stop-sign walls—although the player can either deflect the square ’beat’ blocks to earn points or simply slide under them. If the player hits an obstacle (including failing to jump and thus running into a wall) or falls off the screen, the game rewinds to the beginning of the level. Runner2 introduces checkpoints halfway through normal levels and after each phase of a boss level; if the player suffers a ’bonk’ after hitting a checkpoint, the game rewinds to that checkpoint. The game has very mild penalties for failure: it does not track lives, so the player can fail a level as many times as necessary to beat it. It does reset the rewound area, so the player must collect gold bars and mode upgrades again, and it does track the total number of player bonks and ratio of bonks to level completions, though this only affects players curious enough to look at the stats page.
Although it shares the auto-running style of its predecessor, the game also boasts several new features. There’s a glide move that enables the character to travel further while jumping, a loop-the-loop that challenges the player to twirl their analog stick in tandem with the character’s placement on the circle, diamond-shaped structures that task the player with pressing buttons at the correct time, and a dance move. The glide move proves necessary to make many of the game’s jumps. The loop-the-loop and diamond structures simply award players bonus points for good timing, with no way to suffer a hit. Dancing earns the player bonus points but causes the character to ignore other inputs, such as jumping and ducking, for the approximately half second the dance animation takes, meaning the player must carefully time their dancing to maximize points while not crashing into obstacles. As noted above, the game also introduces checkpoints at the halfway mark of each level. These take the form of crossbars which the player may run into, allowing them to continue at that point rather than the beginning of the level, or jump over, which does not set the rewind marker but does award bonus points. If a player manages to gather every gold bar and mode upgrade in a level, they’re provided a chance to shoot the character into a large target from a cannon. The closer the character lands to the center, the more points the player receives. Hitting the bulls-eye earns the player a Perfect+ ranking for the level, the goal of some of the in-game challenges as well as achievements or trophies.Costumes and alternate characters[edit]Runner 2 For Macs
Runner2 also boasts a variety of unlockables, such as additional costumes and new characters (including Unkle Dill, CommandgirlVideo, Whetfahrt Cheeseborger, Reverse Merman, Pitazo, CaptainVideo, and retro CommanderVideo). Costumes are hidden in treasure chests scattered throughout the game, whereas new characters are earned by completing certain levels. The player simply needs to run into a treasure chest to claim it, and they keep it even if they suffer a hit later in the level. In some levels, giant locks protect the path to the treasure chest. The player must first complete the Key Vault level in that world to make keys appear, then replay such levels to collect the key and chest.Retro levels[edit]
Similar to its predecessor, Runner2 is home to several retro levels, which unlock when players uncover hidden Famicom cartridges. Collecting a cartridge immediately ends the level; in some cases the player must collect a key and open a lock guarding the path which contains the cartridge. While the retro levels of Runner were inspired by the Atari 2600 era of gaming, Runner2’s retro levels are more reminiscent of the 8-bit era.[citation needed]Development and release[edit]
Runner2 was released as a downloadable title for the Wii U on the Nintendo eShop and on Microsoft Windows, OS X, and Linux via Steam on February 26, 2013. It was then released on the Xbox 360’s Xbox Live Arcade the next day.[4] The game was released on the PlayStation Network on March 5, 2013.[5] Although all versions are generally the same, the Wii U version offers the added ability of playing on the Wii U GamePad with the Off TV Play function. The developers also confirmed that because Wii U is the newest platform with the most memory, it has the best overall load times of any of the consoles.[6]Later releases[edit]
The game is also available on iOS, PS Vita and PS4. The iOS version was released on October 31, 2013. Said version is entitled Bit.Tip Run and very similar to the console version. A ’Good Friends’ DLC pack was released on Steam on July 11, 2013, with a release for the console versions to follow. Runner2 was met with positive reviews. IGN called it “one of the finest music games ever made,” [20] and referred to the synchronicity of the music and gameplay as trance-inducing. GameSpot similarly praised the soundtrack and gameplay, stating that “you feel like you’re reacting instinctually with button presses before you consciously realize what you’re doing.”[21] Neal Ronaghan of the Nintendo World Report referred to it as “one of the best side-scrolling platformers in recent memory,”[26] citing in particular its visuals and gameplay.

Once you have set up both GameMaker:Studio and your Mac computer, all you have to do is select ’MacOS’ as the target for your game, and then press either the green ’Play’ button, the orange ’Debug’ button, or the ’Create Executable’ button and your game will be sent to the specified Mac computer. If your version of GameMaker: Studio has not been bought through Steam, you will need to run the program GMStudio-Installer.exe and follow the on-screen instructions to install. You are given the option to install the program anywhere you like but it is recommended that you follow the default suggestions given. Once installation is completed, in the Start menu you will find a new program group where you can start GameMaker: Studio.
NOTE: If you have bought GameMaker: Studio through Steam, the program should install automatically, giving you the option to create a start menu icon and a desktop icon. Either of these can then be used to run the program on your computer, or you can run it through the Steam Client window library page too.
Basic Requirements
Any computer that is less than five years old should be able to run GameMaker: Studio without any problems, but here are the minimum specs for your PC to use the program, and then the necessary specs for each of the additional modules that you may have.IMPORTANT: The required SDK and OS given for each platform may be different at the time of use due to changes made between updates to GameMaker. You can always find the latest requirements from the YoYo Games helpdesk here.Mac Os X IsoWindowsGameMaker: Studio requires a reasonably modern PC running Windows XP, Vista, 7, or later. A DirectX 9 (or later) compatible graphics card with at least 32MB of memory is required for most created games. It requires a screen resolution of at least 1024x768 and 65536 (16-bit) colours (but preferably 32-bit true colour). Also a DirectX 9 compatible sound card, or integrated sound chip, is required. It is always recommended that you make sure you have the most recent drivers installed for your system.
GameMaker: Studio requires DirectX version 9.0 or later to be installed on your computer. (You can download this version of DirectX from the Microsoft website at: http://www.microsoft.com.) When designing and testing games, the memory requirements can be pretty high (at least 128 MB and preferably more, but this depends on the operating system). When just running games, the memory requirements are less severe and depend a lot on the type of game as well as the resources being used.
NOTE: Although most modern PCs ship with DirectX 10 and higher, this does not mean that DirectX 9 is present on your machine, and you should still install it from the link given above!
Please note that Steam users also have an additional target for compiling games which is the Steam Workshop. While creating and testing your game, this target module will work exactly the same as the standard Windows module, however when creating your final executable you will be shown additional options to submit the game directly to Steam. Additional Modules
The above modules are included as standard for all versions of GameMaker: Studio but the following modules are available only to those who have upgraded to the Professional version (more information on the different versions of GameMaker: Studio can be found here).
Mac OS XTo use the Mac OS X target module, you will need to have a Mac computer with an Intel chipset and running Mavericks (OSX 10.9) OS or above. You will also need to download and install Xcode for your version of the OS (minimum Xcode version 6). It’s generally recommended that you use the latest OS X and the latest Xcode (you can find the version your Mac has by clicking on the ’Apple’ logo in the top left and selecting the ’About this Mac’ option from the drop down menu).

Ubuntu (Linux)The Linux module is designed to be compatible with the Ubuntu operating system, and although it should work with other Linux systems, it is only guaranteed to work with the latest versions of this popular Linux OS.

iOSThe GameMaker: Studio iOS module requires that you have a Mac computer (or at least access to one) and that it meets the minimum requirements for the MacOSX target module (see above) and you must be a registered Apple developer and have all certificates and licenses up to date. Nearly all iOS devices are compatible with GameMaker: Studio including:

It also doesn’t matter if you are testing on an iPhone or an iPad as all iOS project builds created by GameMaker: Studio are, as standard, universal apps. This means that they will run on both iPhone and iPad devices without problems.

The GameMaker: Studio runner will only work with Android 2.3(Gingerbread) and above (API Level 9 and above in the Android SDK), which covers the majority of devices around at the moment but not all of them, so please check and make sure which version of Android your device uses. It is also recommended that your device have a dedicated GPU with OpenGL version 1.1 or above. Devices without a GPU will still run your GameMaker: Studio projects, but expect them to have a severe drop in performance. The Amazon Fire target supports all Fire TV devices, the Fire Stick, and all Fire Tablets.
You will also need to download the Android SDK as GameMaker: Studio requires some of the components of the different Android versions and the Platform Tools it installs. You can get a copy of the SDK here. if you are also using the YoYo Compiler (YYC) then you will also need to install a copy of the Android NDK which can be found here.

Gamemaker Studio For MacHTML5The HTML5 export module requires only an HTML5 compliant browser. Note that although most modern browsers are capable of running HTML5 games, not all of them support the WebGL standard currently, so we recommend Chrome for testing as that shows all the features supported by the module.

The YoYo Compiler (YYC)The YYC takes the normal GameMaker: Studio output and then compiles that into native code for the target platform, ’stripping out’ unneeded functions and performing a host of other optimisation techniques to create a smaller and performance enhanced executable. This can increase your games performance by at least two or three times, especially on logic-heavy games, and gives an incredible overall boost to performance, ideal for those larger or CPU intensive games.
The YYC is really a number of separate modules, one for each available target, and will be made available to you when you get any supported target module. So if you have, for example, the iOS and Android modules, then you will see two new modules added to your target list apart from the standard ones - iOS (YYC) and Android (YYC). Should you get other modules at a later date, the YYC will update too and show an extra (YYC) module for that target platform. NOTE: The YYC is not available for the HTML5 target, nor any of those that are JavaScript (JS) based.

The requisites for the YYC target module will depend on the original target modules that you have and wish to use it with, as they will need to be set up correctly before the YYC will work correctly. So, last night, for the first time I tried building a Game Maker Studio project to OS X. I was a little surprised to discover that apparently GM:Studio needs to connect to a Mac OS X system in order to complete its build process. This makes it a little bit of a problem to build OS X projects.
I guess the upshot of that is that it means that it is impossible to create OS X builds in a dev environment where there is no means to test them. On the other hand, I guess the true cost of Studio is around $2500 since I have to buy a Mac. But hey, I suppose that could be a tax deductible expense if I’m buying it for business purposes. I know they make them cheaper, but I probably wouldn’t buy a mini. Splinter cell chaos theory mac os x. Eh, maybe. I’ll have to kick it around and decide, but I’m more into the idea of getting a MacBook Pro.

If you’re using an earlier macOS, such as macOS High Sierra, Sierra, El Capitan, or earlier,* follow these steps to keep it up to date:
*Open the App Store app on your Mac.
*Click Updates in the App Store toolbar.
*Use the Update buttons to download and install any updates listed.
*When the App Store shows no more updates, the installed version of macOS and all of its apps are up to date. That includes Safari, iTunes, iBooks, Messages, Mail, Calendar, Photos, and FaceTime. Later versions may be available by upgrading your macOS.
